What are psychological methods?

Psychology is an empirical science, which means that we theories, deduce specific hypotheses and test these hypotheses empirically. In our classes, we cover the diverse research methods used in psychological science, ranging from different research designs (e.g., experiments, online surveys, longitudinal studies) and assessment methods (e.g., questionnaires, peer reports, psychophysiological measures, or indirect measures such as Facebook profiles) to the statistical procedures needed to analyze the data.
